Spring 2

Growing and Changing is our topic for the second half term of the Spring term. We will be finding out about seasons and change, growing plants, animals, food and farming and how we grow and change. We are very excited to be consolidating our unit of learning with a trip to South Angle Farm in Soham where we will be seeing, and possibly feeding, a range of different animals!
The knowledge organiser features key vocabulary that we will be teaching the children.

To support our learning we suggest that you could try to engage with the following low, or no cost activities from 50 things to do before you're 5.
Visit 50 Things to Do | Cambridgeshire & Peterborough and look for these activities!

Week 1
It has been lovely to see the children back at school and excited to learn. Our new topic is Growing and Changing and the children have loved being outside looking for signs of Spring. Our new text, Supertato, is causing a buzz of excitement and children worked out exactly who was to blame for different vegetables being bandaged and stuck to walls! We're sure that there will be lots of great writing from the children as we explore this book. The children have loved enhancing play dough by crushing up herbs and discussing the fragrances. They have also used the playdough to continue their learning about length in maths by making, comparing and discussing 'herby sausages'. Some were even longer the table!
