This week our book was 'Dear Zoo'. We made cages for the animals using playdough and coloured lolly sticks. Children enjoyed finger painting wild animals. We made our outside hut into a hide out. The children hid in it and used binoculars to see if they could see any wild animals dotted around the playground. Some children made there own binoculars and decorated them.

This week we have continued our learning about animals and their babies and re-reading the story 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We have had a basket of farm animals and children have been sorting them into big and small groups. Outside the children have been putting on puppet shows. We have been making our own bridges and then finding out different ways to travel across.

This week our story has been 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. The children love this story and have enjoyed re-enacting it throughout the classroom and outdoor area. Children helped make long bridges outside for them to walk along! There has been a lot of imaginative play with lots of "Who's that trip trapping over my bridge!" being shouted out in their play. We have also been learning about farm animals and their babies. Some children dressed up as farm animals and we sang 'Old McDonald had a Farm'.
