Headteacher's Message

Dear Parents/Careres,

A big thank you to Miss Meek and Mrs Spencer for organising the school uniform sale. It raised almost £100, although the purpose was to support you all with the cost of school uniform! Please, if you need school uniform, come and see Miss Meek, we have lots of bits from coats to skirts and everything in between.

This week the teaching staff have been looking at the fabulous learning environments in the classrooms, Mrs Jones has the most cosiest book corner! If you have any indoor plants you don’t want, the other classes would love them! Our book corners have the most wonderful texts in them. Year 2 are writing recommendations for their favourite texts to share with the rest of the school. Miss Cross has introduced an new provision mapping tool called Edukey, to the staff this week, if your child has special educational needs we hope to be sharing your child’s provision with you in the coming weeks using Edukey (just give us a few more days to learn the software!).

A special mention most go to Oak Class who have worked very hard for their supply teacher this week, Mrs Donnelly will be very proud of their writing when she is back in school.

If you are worried about you child, please come and speak to me or your child’s teacher. We want every child to thrive at Spring Meadow and the best way to achieve this is by working together. Mrs Spencer will be supporting in class over the next few weeks to share her Thrive learning.

Remember to ensure every item of clothing is named! The weather is changing so it is essential coats come into school daily – the weather can change quickly during the day.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Best Wishes,

Maria Higgins

Interim Headteacher
