Dear Parents and Carers,
This week has been another busy week at Spring Meadow. The children have been continuing to engage in our new phonics scheme Read Write Inc. They are doing fantastically well and have grasped all of the processes and rhymes. The local authority English Advisor has been in to see revamped book corners and was pleased with how enthusiastic the children were. We have welcomed new children into nursery and hope that they are enjoying the start of their learning journey. I am delighted with the improvement in punctuality of children. However if you need support for your child to be in school on time please come and speak to us, as there are things we can do to help. We hope your children are settling in to their new classes and remember that we are here to work in partnership with you. If you have any questions, concerns or compliments do let us know.
Please remember we will be closed on Monday for the Queens funeral. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, have a wonderful weekend.
Messages to Sandringham
This week the children have all signed a poster with a message for the Royal Family. Mrs Spencer then took this to Sandringham and laid it with the flowers. Whilst there, a woman asked if the posters could go in a box to go to Buckingham Palace for King Charles to read. So our posters will be heading to the Palace for the Royal Family to see and read.
-Facebook and Instagram Page- We have relaunched our Facebook page and created an Instagram Account. These are there so you can see what's going on in the school and what the children have been learning. We will also share other pages posts that we think are useful. The Instagram account is spring_meadow_infants and can be found by clicking here. The Facebook page can be found by clicking here.
-New2You Sale- On the Monday 3rd October, we plan to hold a New2You Uniform Sale, this will give you the chance to buy second hand uniform. All uniform will be available for you to pay what you can afford, all money raised will go to the school to raise money for additional resources. The stall will open at 2.45pm outside the school office and will be packed away at around 3.35pm.
-Taxi coming down to collect children- Please be aware that a taxi may be driving down to the office some days after school to collect children. As a school, we have given them permission to park near the school office in order to safety collect children.
