It has been a busy week once again here at Spring Meadow. On Monday we had a visit from Mrs Fielding and her little ones - the children were delighted to see her. On Tuesday we held my first fire drill with the school and Children's centre - everyone was very safe! If you follow our Facebook page you might have seen our #TestitTuesday post. We also had parents evening this week, it was really good to see so many of you and share how your child is getting on with their learning. If you did not manage to see your child's teacher, please contact Miss Meek in the office to arrange a mutually convenient appointment. Wednesday was school photograph day, the previews of these should go home one day next week! On Thursday, Mr Brough was a good Samaritan and helped an elderly member of our community (just in case you wondered why the police were here). On Friday the whole school came together for a Remembrance Service in the hall.
I would like to thank Laura Elliott from Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Academy for their donation of sanitary products for the adult toilets at school – if you need sanitary products, please come into school and ask to use the toilet and you can help yourself if you need them.
Remember your Bags2School bags – we only have about 25 bags at the moment, we would be very grateful for more.
Have a lovely weekend.
Odd Sock Day- This Monday- Next week is Anti-Bullying week so to start the week we are going to join in with Odd Sock Day. Children are invited to wear odd socks to help celebrate how everyone is different.
Children in Need Day- Next Friday- This year, to raise money for Children in Need, we are asking children to come dressed in colourful clothes.
Christmaths- There is a wonderful opportunity on the 7th December for you to join your child for a Christmas afternoon (3.15-5.15) with Maths based activities. The event is free and refreshments will be provided. If you would like to attend, please contact the school office. The invitation is open to everyone so if you know of parents at other schools that may like to come please let them know.
Nursery Playground Equipment- Just a reminder that the equipment in the Nursery playground should not be played with before school and after school.
Have a lovely weekend!
